INTERNATIONAL RANKING
The Chambers & Partners legal directory has recently published two guides, Chambers Europe 2011 and Chambers Global 2011 that rank law firms by area of practice. Teynier, Pic & Associés has been ranked on both the French and the European market. These publications are a real salute to this independent law firm.
Teynier, Pic & Associés is listed among 17 others law firms in the "Chambers Europe 2011*" for its ranking for arbitration in France. The law firm was rated third. Again, Eric Teynier ranked second among the lawyers for this year.
The guide writes: This compact arbitration outfit is growing in prestige, and despite its size has succeeded in attracting high-calibre clients from the energy and telecommunications sectors. The firm's success and raised profile are due in large part to the reputation and activity of name partner Eric Teynier, who is both a counsel and an arbitrator. Peers praise him as "a quiet achiever who is very focused and extremely able." The team has also benefited from the fairly recent arrival of arbitration specialist Laurence Kiffer.
In the section titled Arbitration ranking in Europe, Eric Teynier placed 4th with this recommendation: "Eric Teynier heads the boutique arbitration firm Teynier, Pic & Associés. He is regularly "instructed by big names," say sources".

Regarding Arbitration in Europe, the law firm ranked 4th among others law firms, that intervene in Europe. The guide book comments: "Eric Teynier of Teynier, Pic & Associés is well established in the arbitration market. He is active as both counsel and arbitrator, and he works under a range of international rules, with commentators commending his "focused and dedicated work ethic."
The Guide Legal 500 EMEA 2011 (Europe, Middle East Africa), in its chapter about France, singles out Teynier, Pic & Associés for its dedication on dispute resolution in both commercial litigation and international arbitration. Teynier, Pic & Associés is recommended for commercial litigation and ranked 3rd for its Arbitration practice among the top 25 law firms listed.
The guide describes the law firm's activity as follows: Teynier, Pic & Associés has a ‘great reputation in the arbitration world for the quality and seriousness of its services'. Dedicated to dispute resolution, the firm takes on commercial and investment arbitration, mediation and exequatur litigation. The practice, led by Eric Teynier, Pierre Pic and Laurence Kiffer, who act both as advisors and arbitrators, handles cases involving the Middle-East, Eastern Europe and North Africa. The firm successfully represented Financière de France in two arbitration disputes.
The Expert Guides, published by the Legal Media Group, the legal division of Euromoney Institutional Investor, have been ranking individual experts for more than 15 years.
Among the 51 experts in Commercial Arbitration in France, two of the three partners of Teynier, Pic & Associés were singled out: Eric Teynier and Laurence Kiffer.
FRANCE RANKING
In its ranking on business litigation, the magazine Option Droit & Affaires, in partnership with the Association de directeurs juridiques le Cercle Montesquieu, listed the firm in the second group with four stars regarding its lawyers' classification in International Arbitration, and named each of its three partners: Eric Teynier, Laurence Kiffer and Pierre Pic. This is an increase in rank in this category, from last year's ranking.
The law firm is also given two stars in the 4th group listing law firms for acquisition dispute (post-acquisition, pre-acquisition, share holders' dispute, price adjustment). Eric Teynier, Laurence Kiffer and Pierre Pic are each mentioned in the listing.
The researcher who interviewed several of their clients emphasizes: « At Teynier Pic, one of the clients emphasizes the human size of the firm. We know the partners well and we have always had an immediate reactivity, even cooperation among them which ensures continuity of the file, something which does not happen very often".

Teynier Pic & Associés is ranked in the Guide Annuaire 2011 - Risk, Management, Assurance & Contentieux - among the best law firms with a strong reputation in mediation and arbitration:
- Laurence Kiffer is listed as having a strong reputation and she is ranked third among the best lawyers in mediation.
- The same can be said of Eric Teynier in the rating of Best Arbitrators in France (3rd place).
In the Strong reputation category (at the top of the list) each of the three partners, Eric Teynier, Pierre Pic and Laurence Kiffer, are listed.
A text in Structures en vue: Teynier Pic & Associés is a boutique specialized in international arbitration. The team distinguished itself in 2010 as counsel for Dallah, a Saudi company doing business in France concerning the execution of an arbitration award given against the state of Pakistan. The firm was also the leading counsel for an Eastern Europe state against a German investor in an ad hoc arbitration (UNCITRAL). The partners have acquired a mastery of sensitive political situations. They advise and counsel in particular, CAC 40 corporations, foreign groups in developing and states in many diverse sectors (aeronautical, construction, energy, international investments, industrial risks, telecommunications, chemicals, transportation and weaponry).
In addition, in this particular guide, Teynier Pic & Associés is ranked among the best law firms with a high quality practice (rank 5) in terms of industrial risks and claims, and commercial litigation.
Finally, in 2009, at the 8th edition of the Trophées du Droit et du Contentieux, the firm won the Gold Trophy in the category "Best team specialized in international arbitration counsel" in which ten of the best French and international firms were competing. It was the first time that an independent French law firm received this award.
In 2011, the firm was nominated again and received a silver trophy.
