Two years after joining TEYNIER PIC as counsel, Sara Nadeau Seguin will become the firm’s fifth partner on 30 June 2021.<\/p>\n

Sara Nadeau Seguin specialises in commercial and investment arbitration, particularly in the pharmaceutical, construction, natural resources and energy sectors, including renewable energy. She has acted as counsel and arbitrator in numerous ad hoc<\/em> and institutional arbitrations (ICC, LCIA, SCC, UNCITRAL and ICSID), both for States and for private companies or investors. Sara also advises and assists clients in mediation proceedings as well as in the negotiation and drafting of dispute resolution clauses. She also represents clients in litigation, including before Canadian courts.<\/p>\n

She began her career with the international arbitration team of the American firm BAKER BOTTS in London, before joining SKADDEN ARPS, SLATE, MEAGHER & FLOM, first in London and then in Paris. Prior to joining TEYNIER PIC in 2019, Sara worked at WOODS, a Canadian litigation and arbitration boutique based in Montreal. She is fully bilingual in French and English and is fluent in Spanish and Italian.<\/p>\n

Since 2017, Sara has been listed amongst Future Leaders<\/em> in international arbitration by Who’s Who Legal<\/em>, which says of her: \u201c\u2019She has exceptional tactical judgment and an ability to communicate very effectively with clients. Sara is smart, thorough, and very hardworking. She impresses with her excellent communication on very complex issues and arguments. Her written arguments are brilliant\u2019.\u201d One of her clients also told Legal 500 about her: \u201cNothing was ever too difficult, and she always put the client first. Her legal arguments at the hearing were powerful and compelling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric Teynier, Managing Partner and co-founder of TEYNIER PIC, says: “For the past two years, we have been able to admire Sara’s advocacy skills, her dynamism, her ability to stay the course in rough seas on our matters as well as her ability to develop our associates.
