Admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association since 2009, Ramy Bassily specialises in international arbitration (investment and commercial). He has acted as counsel in numerous arbitration proceedings under various institutional rules (AAA, ADCCAC, CRCICA, DIAC, ICC, ICSID and LCIA). Ramy is also listed as a qualified arbitrator with different international arbitral institutions in the MENA region and is regularly appointed as an arbitrator.

Prior to returning to Teynier Pic, Ramy acquired experience in international arbitration in major international law firms in France and Egypt. He was also a research assistant and teaching assistant at both University Paris X – Paris-Nanterre (France) and the American University in Cairo (Egypt). In addition to his role as a lawyer at Teynier Pic, Ramy is currently working on his Ph.D. on “Investment Arbitration and Judicial Expropriation” at the University of Burgundy in France.
