THE CORE OF OUR BUSINESS

We have been based in Paris since the very beginning, and our clients include listed companies as well as small and medium-sized companies with their head office in France or in Europe, and also European countries. We operate in France, and more broadly in Europe due to the location of our clients’ head offices, the law applicable to the dispute or the location of the place of arbitration.

We represent our clients before all French Courts, as well as before some European Courts and Institutions (Belgium, Luxembourg, ECJ, European Commission, etc.).

  • Representing a Ukrainian company specialising in the production and distribution of electricity, in a dispute with the Republic of Moldova before the French Courts and the CJEU concerning the annulment of an ad hocarbitration award made pursuant to the Energy Charter Treaty.
  • Representing a European satellite manufacturing group in an ICC arbitration relating to the performance of a contract for the supply of space telecommunications antennas.
  • Representing an Eastern European State in an UNCITRAL arbitration concerning the State’s policy to protect its agricultural sector, allegedly in breach of the Bilateral Investment Treaty between the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.
  • Representing a French global leader in nuclear and renewable energy in complex disputes with its main client, a French electricity producer, in an ad hoc mediation procedure arising out of the refurbishment of a nuclear power plant in France.
  • Representing a European oil company that built a pipeline and participated in the privatisation of an oil refinery in an ICC arbitration against an Eastern European country regarding the termination of its concession.
  • Representing a Polish consulting company in an ICC arbitration against a major international group in the space sector concerning the non-performance of several consulting contracts.
  • Representing a European satellite telecommunications operator in an ICC arbitration against a Turkish television group concerning the termination of a satellite capacity lease agreement.
  • Representing a European bank in an ICC arbitration against its agent in a dispute concerning the latter’s remuneration in connection with a share transfer transaction.
  • Advising a consortium of companies of a major French construction group against the project owner and the general contractor, concerning the construction of a carbon fibre factory in the South of France.
  • Representing a European public works group in a dispute brought before the Commercial Court of Paris concerning the freezing of a first demand guarantee.
  • Representing a German construction company against a French public contracting authority in a dispute (expert determination, litigation before the Commercial Court of Paris and the Administrative Court of Paris) relating to the execution of works concerning the foundations of an electricity transformer station (additional works, penalties for delay, etc.).
  • Representing a leading European construction group in arbitration proceedings relating to the construction of a commercial building near Paris, involving issues such as changes to orders, additional work and penalties for late delivery.
  • Representing a European company before the Court of Appeal of Paris in proceedings against a French group for the annulment of an ad hoc award made in a dispute relating to alleged breaches of a shareholders’ agreement.
  • Representing several French and Italian companies in a court-ordered expert determination aimed at determining the causes of an insured loss (fire in an oil refinery steam cracker).
